April showers brought me May flowers
May was such a full month for me and I’m sooooo so grateful. Here’s a mini recap of what filled my May.
the art of business
Little by little, I’m coming out of my shell when it comes to being a creative business owner. There, I said it! Even typing that out took a lot of guts. Whew. Here are some of the “arts” of business that I’ve learned through the years.
empowering compassion
For almost a year now, I’ve had the privilege of helping CCK create and write their social media content. Through this opportunity, I realized that design can really make a difference in someone’s life, albeit indirectly.
growth is incremental, not immediate.
It wasn’t like the eureka moment Archimedes had in the bath. It was incremental.
That incremental growth in my relationship with God led me to where I am today: an independent design studio catering to clients of different backgrounds.
Slow is beautiful
I've learned that the world doesn't revolve around me or what I do. The world rests in His hands. It's about time we rest in Him, too.
Come up for air, you’re not drowning
This is the tight space I’ve created. I clean my desk or my room every day before I begin working. No matter how spotless they are, there would still be so much clutter in my heart.
I was drowning. I was weary, tired, worried.
Come up for air.
I didn’t hear these words exactly, but I kept listening. I kept pressing in.
a visual ode for a mother
I had the privilege of creating a logo for a coffee shop called “Te Amo.”
The name itself already feels heartwarming, but even more so when they told me they wanted their visual identity to be a tribute to their inspiration—their mom.
logo work from the first half of 2022
Check out the logos I worked on for the first half of the year! Thank You Lord for Your provision!
lessons from advertising
My experience in advertising built my creative backbone. Here are the lessons from advertising I took with me.
strategic pauses
Ahh, it’s been a while since I wrote anything here! I’ve had a couple of topics in my drafts but I didn’t have to grit to keep typing… I’m still working on that grit thing but I wanted to talk about something else. Pausing.
A temporary stop in action or speech.
